We have all experienced an “Uh oh” moment at the gym or getting ready for a workout. Every girl can relate to some, if not all, of these struggles.

1.) Sports bra malfunction
You are pumped for this workout you are about to demolish and as you start to get dressed your sports bra twists behind your back… talk about a buzz kill. Suddenly, you become a professional contortionist twisting and turning trying to unwind it. But lemme tell ya, once that puppy is on the right way boy is it a relief and on to the gym you go. Side note: stack up on high impact sports bras to avoid hurting your chest and causing tissue damage.

2.) Headphones Gone Wild
It is a rarity that you will see me wearing ear buds while working out now-a-days. I don’t think I have ever had an amazing work out while wearing them. Every five seconds, I would have to untangle them, put them back in, or adjust the volume. The day I decided to switch to beat headphones, was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
Tip: Purchase over-the-head or over-the-ear sports headphones to avoid complications. I also like bluetooth headphones as well.

3.) Period Problems
No girl that I know wants to spend an hour or more at the gym during that time of the month. From cramps to pit stains, going to the gym seems like the last place any girl wants to be. Luckily, there are ways to get around these uncomfortable days and still destroy your session.
Tip: Get a small makeup bag and fill it with your period essentials ( pads, tampons, deodorant, etc.), so you will never have to worry again.

4.) Wifi Woes
If you listen to music through sources other than Itunes or CD’s, you probaly have this problem as well. As a Spotify user, I have to be connected to the internet in order to play my music. If my gym does not have wifi, well…. that days workout will be a little bit harder to push through.
Tip: For Spotify users, there are ways to combat this. While you are in wifi click the down arrow saying “Download”. This will download your songs for you to access while you are in a area without internet.

5.) Red in the face
I know I know looks do not matter as much as what is on the inside, but it never hurts to want to look good when you are in a gym. When I go to the gym, I am on a mission and I do not like to waist much time there. After an intense HIIT cardio sesh, I might be red in the face with sweat descending down my face. Yikes!
Tip: take an extra five minutes to cool down by walking at a speed of 1.7- 2.8. Then drink some water and dab the sweat off of your skin with a dry towel.
Truth is, you worked hard and your rosy cheeks are like temporary battle scars. No one is expected to look like they’re ready for a gala. No worries.

6.) The beloved last hair tie
Having hundreds of hair ties is a must for every girl, especially at the gym. Even when we have multiple ties, giving one up to someone who needs it is like giving up a child (well not exactly, but you know what I mean. I digress). A hair tie can determine whether or not you can complete your workout. I can recall multiple times where I went to re-do my pony tail when suddenly I break my last hair tie. My last one! Usually I have a few on my wrist, so not having one available is a catastrophe.
Tip: Grab a clip, paper ring and place multiple hair ties on it and put them in your bag before you leave.

9.) “Pants on the ground”
As if working out isn’t hard enough, sometimes our pants decide to wiggle their way down your waist. Every so often, you have to tug on the fabric in hopes that it will stay; We have all been there. It is never a good look to have saggy pants, but luckily there are ways around it.
Tip: Before you buy a pair of pants, try them on and perform a quick squat test. If they pass, you are good to go! This also helps to see if they are see through (also a major oops). Happy Shopping!

10.) Sweat stains
Have you ever gone to the gym and saw someone with intense pit stains and thought, “Ooooo cute!” Ya, probably not. Don’t worry girly we are all human and this happens to everyone. Pack your stick of deodorant, dab the sweat in the locker room while you grab a sip of water. Keep working hard and sweat on!
Tip: wear black or white while working out to minimize the amount of pit stains that show. Grey is the biggest culprit!
